CoolSculpting technology safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin while leaving the skin itself unaffected. The treated fat cells are crystallized (frozen), then die. Over time, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells, leaving a more sculpted you. One of the main benefits of coolsculpting is that it can be used on almost any area of the body, including the abdomen, arms, legs, back, neck, chin and flanks. It is FDA-approved and there are no major side effects associated with coolsculpting. Most people experience some mild redness or tenderness in the target area for a few days following their coolsculpting session; but this usually subsides after a short period of time.

COOLSCULPTING TREATMENT

During your treatment, a gel pad and applicator are applied to the targeted area. Applicators that use a vacuum will draw the tissue into the applicator cup. You may feel pulling, tugging, and mild pinching. Controlled cooling is then delivered to the targeted fat so you may feel intense cold but this sensation typically subsides within 10 minutes as the area becomes numb. Once the treated fat cells are crystallized (frozen), the body naturally processes the fat and eliminates the dead cells. Once the treated fat cells are gone, they are gone for good.​

The CoolSculpting® procedure has a 95% patient satisfaction rate. While some patients may see results as early as 3 weeks after their session, most dramatic results are usually seen 1-3 months after treatment.

ENHANCE RESULTS WITH ZWAVE

Also known as Radial Pulse Therapy, Z Wave technology works by transmitting powerful sound waves into the targeted tissue, which then dissipates radially throughout the tissue to enhance the CoolSculpting treatment’s long-lasting effects. The body responds to the powerful sound waves by increasing metabolic activity and improving blood circulation. In the end, the appearance of cellulite will improve while also boosting the results of the CoolSculpting.

WHAT TO EXPECT IMMEDIATELY AFTER TREATMENT

• Immediately after the procedure, your treated area may look or feel stiff and transient blanching (temporary whitening of the skin) may occur.

• You may feel a sense of nausea or dizziness as your body naturally warms and sensation returns to your treatment area. These are normal reactions that typically resolve within minutes.

• The treated area may be red for up to a few hours after the applicator is removed. This is an expected but temporary  effect after the CoolSculpting procedure.

• Bruising, swelling and tenderness can occur in the treated area. This typically resolves within a week or two.

• Nausea and tingling, stinging and cramping in the treatment area are often reported on treatment day.

• You may feel a temporary dulling of sensation in the treated area. This is normal and typically resolves within a few hours but may last for several weeks after your procedure.​

• There typically is minimal recovery time after the CoolSculpting procedure. Most patients can return to their daily routine immediately after the procedure.

WHAT TO EXPECT THE FIRST FEW DAYS AND WEEKS AFTER THE COOLSCULPTING® PROCEDURE:

• It is common for the treated area to feel bloated and look swollen in the first few days and weeks after the CoolSculpting procedure.

• You may experience a temporary dulling of sensation that can last for several weeks.

• At some point within the first two weeks following the procedure, you may experience one or more of the following sensations: deep itching, tingling, numbness, tenderness to the touch, pain in the treated area, strong cramping, diarrhea, muscle spasms, aching and/or soreness. Consult your doctor if these conditions persist beyond two weeks or worsen over time.

• Following the procedure, a gradual reduction in the thickness of the fat layer will take place. You may start to see changes as early as three weeks after the CoolSculpting procedure and you will experience the most dramatic results after one to three months. Your body will continue naturally to process the injured fat cells from your body for approximately four months after your procedure.​

• In rare cases, patients have experienced vasovagal symptoms during the treatment, and reported freeze burn, darker skin color, hardness, discrete nodules or enlargement of the treated area. Surgical intervention may be required to correct the enlargement.
